Do I need an appointment at Naós Massage & Wellness Studio?

Naós is a privately run studio and only accepts pre-booked appointments via the online system. This ensures a safe and quiet space free from interruptions. Thank you for your understanding.

What can I expect during a massage and facial at Naós Massage & Wellness Studio?

Just decide which massage/facial you would like, book online and arrive for your scheduled massage at the studio in Kardamena and I will be there to greet you right away. You are welcome to a small refreshment such as a glass of water before starting, where you can place your things to the side and we can discuss your requirements for the massage/facial, I will then leave the room and you will be asked to get comfortable onto the treatment bed in your own time. At the end of your session, I will check to ensure you are feeling well and you will be left to relax and re-dress, a small cleansing towel will be left on the table for you to refresh your hands, feet or face. Take your time to use the bathroom, and drink some water where we will talk about the session and organise your next visit.

How do I prepare for a facial at Naós Massage & Wellness Studio?

Avoid sun exposure 72h before your facial if possible, avoid exfoliation and using any new skincare products. Please re-arrange your appointment if you feel ill, experiencing a flare up of cold sores, eye infections, or have a histamine or allergic reaction on the skin. If you can, try to arrive makeup free.

How do I prepare for a massage at Naós Massage & Wellness Studio?

Drink plenty of water, avoiding alcohol. Ensure you have had a light meal a few hours before, not immediately before your massage. Please arrive showered and free from salt/sea water and sand. Re-arrange your appointment if you have serious, undiagnosed pain or problems moving or feel dizzy.

How often should I have a massage?

There’s no such thing as too much massage! Most people will have 1-2 massages a month to help with muscle health. If you’re here on holiday, 1 session at the beginning and another before you leave to go home, will set you up for the most relaxing stay.

I’ve never had a massage before, what would you recommend?

For first-timers, the Calm massage or the Focus massage are both great for relaxation and tension relief.

What do I wear?

You must keep at least your underwear or dry swimwear bottoms on. Wearing underwear does not hinder the effectiveness of your massage or facial. I recommend removing a bra/bikini top for massaging the back, neck and shoulders, as this can allow me to work over the area easier. But it is completely your choice. You will have the opportunity to dress down and get onto the massage table and cover yourself with the towels/drapes provided. Once on the massage table, please cover your lower body with the towel as directed.

Will my massage hurt?

No. Please be aware that no massage should be painful and that pain is not required for work to be effective. Our massages are designed to be therapeutic and provide relief with a pressure that is agreed upon before starting your session and is appropriate for your needs and massage experience at the time. Our services are not suitable for you if you are expecting a ‘painful’ massage.

I’ve never had a facial before, which would you recommend?

There are 2 options for facials that are suitable for the first time, the Essence is our customisable facial and the Elevate is our advanced relaxing facial. Ensure you book a consultation beforehand to discuss your skins goals and concerns.

What do you use to massage with Naós Massage & Wellness Studio??

I may use a variety of organic jojoba, hemp, apricot, peach and calendula oil. If you would like to request an oil or if you have any allergies please contact me and I can arrange an alternative for you. The oils that I use may vary from time to time and do include essential oils as standard.

What experience do you have?

I have been in the beauty and wellness industry since 2012. I studied for 4 years while working within 5-star hotel spas in Bath, England and in 5-star exclusive chalets in Val d’Isere, French Alps. I always keep up to date with trends and ensure to always have the best equipment and products. I have kept my training up to date, doing extra training courses in various massage and skincare modalities and techniques to an NVQ Level 4 in aesthetics (beauty therapy) and NVQ Level 3 in massage and spa therapies. Please see the Origins page for more information about me.

I’ve had/am having treatment from a physiotherapist. Can I have a massage?

Yes. But please be aware that I am not medically trained and I cannot treat you if you have injuries. If you suspect you have an injury, or you are experiencing pain, I can give you the details to book an appointment to see the local Doctor or Physiotherapist.

How do I book?

The quickest way to book is through the online booking system. It gives the earliest possible appointment times available. If the time you are looking for is not available, it is because it is already booked. Please note that the studio is locked while I am in session.

I don’t want a full body massage, can I have just a back massage?

Yes, if you would like just a back massage I would recommend the Focus massage for upper body tension.

I’m pregnant, can I have a massage or facial?

Absolutely, massage and facials during pregnancy has a large range of benefits and is safe for most mothers. However, if you are unsure, please contact your doctor first. I am trained and very experienced in pre-natal massage. The Essence and Elevate facials use AEGLI premium organics which are pregnancy safe.

Pre-Natal massage and either the Essence or Elevate Facial is available from week 12 of your pregnancy. Please indicate this on the pre-session information form that you will fill out before your session so the right adjustments can be made.
